The Cross of Laguna
19/10/2011 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
For a variation, we voyage to a biannual favourite but via a new watering hole across the way from one of our more usual haunts:
Malt Cross16 St James’s Street,
Nottingham, NG1 6FG
Phone: 0115 9411048
And thence we wander upstream for a curry in the nearby Laguna:
Laguna Tandoori Restaurant43 Mount Street
Nottingham, NG1 6HE
Phone: 0115 941 1632
Meet 7:30pm in The Malt Cross, (small door directly opposite The Roebuck,) and thence wander over to the Laguna for about 8pm. No doubt weβll venture onwards to another nearby venue until close of playβ¦ Ye Olde Trip?β¦
Just look out for the holy glow of Linux mags and geekie devices! π
All welcome,
Cheers,
Martin

And a stonkin’ good curry it was! Good food and good friendly service.
The Malt Cross proved to be a good venue with good ale, WiFi that works, and friendly staff. I think we’ll adopt that one as one of our favoured venues. π
A good welcome to Paul on a slightly light showing for the evening.
Amongst the hot topics, we ran through php frameworks and web stuff. Noted the passing of “dmr” aka Dennis Ritchie. Various other bits ‘n’ bytes were discussed or consumed. Then later in Ye Olde Trip, I was diverted by some brewers on a conference here in Nottingham… A pint or two of history and modern day brewing were soon downed! π
All just in time for the last bus π
Cheers,
Martin
