Partition Your Bits!

Folks,

For this informal talk/how-to, we can go exploring all the many different ways that your bits of data can be arrayed over whatever media. From that of the infinitely long Turing Machine program tape, briefly to DNA, and onwards more usefully through HDD/SSD partitions, partition tables, filesystems and alignment.

Do you know where and how your bits go?! 😉

Depending on numbers, we will be the very visibly obvious geekie group likely in the area on the right of the entrance, or we’ll be hidden away in the room upstairs. Please ask the friendly bar person if lost!
