Falcon Talks systemd…
16/10/2014 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Anyone not heard of the ongoing tsunami called systemd?…
Whether if so or if not, or if you do or you don’t, this is guaranteed to stir good discussion for the shape of “Linux” to come…
Whether you (un)knowingly do or you don’t, one telling impassioned note is that already:
As a Linux user, you don’t have much chances to keep off the toxic systemd grass:
1. Use Slackware, Gentoo, Void Linux. Probably Slackware will outlive the other two though.
2. Use *BSD.
3. Obey.
All overshadowed by “Linux? Bah! Red Hat has its eye on the CLOUD β and it wants to own it”? Whereby systemd and Linux Containers are important parts of doing just that…
Will the combined power of the GPL and FLOSS temper the much hyped tempest and tempers?…
To discuss! π
All are welcome to join in the cozy ambiance of The Falcon Inn. Good beer and good discussions guaranteed!
(Non-beer drinkers and new starters all welcome all alike π )
