Beeston Blue Moon Beers
29/08/2012 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
It’s one of those months:
Another Beeston Lunation ๐
- Is this going to be pre-English-summer, or post-some-sort-of-summer?
- Will there be any hops for good brewing for next summer?!
- Will we all by now have a Raspberry Pi?
- Is this a post successful landing for Curiosity and the curious?
So roll up, roll up, for a few local beers, and for fun discussion on anything and everything, all at:
Iโll be there from 8pm with beers and linux. Just look for the Linux mags and netbooks and whatever other Geekery or so.
See a few there ๐
Cheers,
Martin
โBlue Moonโ in this context is used to mean โa rare eventโ. Usage here is also a corruption on the description for when there is an extra full moon during a season, in that the beers meet-up fills in for when we have a fifth Wednesday in a calendar month ๐

Curiosity made a fine landing of almost science-fiction proportions and has begun its trek across a small part of Martian landscape. On a sadder note, Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, has died at age 82: Neil Armstrong: 1930-2012.
On lighter notes:
We had a Revelation of local connectivity for two of the group who were innocuously sitting under a portrait of the Queen’s Jester. There’s even a poem penned about him;
And we got our own Blue Moon for this month!
And a fair few good comments and topics were discussed…
We also had our very own ‘Para-Olympian’ attend, dramatically clanking across the room… (Or was that a Cyberdyne Systems T-800/850 Model 102? ๐ ) Various suggestions were made about better springs, animal materials for padding for long endurance, and lubrication…

Cheers,
Martin
