Backups, Snapshots, Mirrors, and… The Cloud

Folks,

Last month we had a bit of how to arrange where your (data) bits go locally, nearby to where they normally get used.

For this informal discussion, the main topic is for how to keep a safe copy of your bits to guard against them having become scrambled beyond redemption… Also recently, is there a new way of backups: Is all the Marketing hype for ‘safely, securely’ holding your digital world in someone’s ‘Cloud‘ good for your bits?

All are welcome for comment, discussion, and random acronyms and how to keep your ‘cyberworld‘ recoverable. Do you know your NAS from your SAN and how to enjoy a really good RAID? 😉
