SUMMARY:Beeston Blue Moon Beers
DESCRIPTION:Folks\, \nTo spring with sunglasses from our latest Equinox and BST shift\, here we have an extra Thursday to shine in The Star… \nYep! It’s a Beeston Blue Moon! 🙂 \n  \nNominal 7:30pm start. Food is available until just before 8pm. \nWe’ll likely be found in the Whiskey Room\, or if too full over in the marque area. Just look out for penguins and the two furry fiends 😉 (There should be some humans in attendance also 😛 ) \n  \nFor all and anything\, Linux and general: \nAll welcome! 🙂 \n  \n(And in good British Python-esque style: Don’t mention the Brexit! 😛 Or our ongoing five centuries old traditions… 😮 ) \n  \n \n  \n“Blue Moon” in this context is used to mean “a rare event”. Usage here is also a corruption on the description for when there is an extra full moon during a season\, in that the beers meet-up fills in for when we have a fifth Thursday in a calendar month 🙂 \n“Brexit”: \n\nArticle 50: [Theresa] May signs letter that will trigger Brexit\nThe UK’s letter triggering Article 50\n‘No turning back’ on Brexit as Article 50 triggered\nEU leaders react as UK PM Theresa May officially triggers Brexit:\n\n“After nine months the UK has delivered\,” declared EU Council President Donald Tusk\nThe tone of his speech in Brussels was full of regret. There was “no reason to pretend that this is a happy day” in Brussels or London\, he added. “We already miss you.”\nLooking on the bright side\, he said there was “also something positive” about Brexit as it had made the 27 states remaining in the EU more determined and united than before.\nFrench President Francois Hollande\, meanwhile\, said that while Brexit was “sentimentally painful” for Europe it would be “economically painful” for Britain\n“But naturally we accept the democratic decision of the British voters\,”\nPortuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said that Britain “would continue to be a European country\, a fundamental pillar of peace and security on the Old Continent\, and a cultural and economic reference for Europe and Europeans”\na “highly-indebted Britain has the most to lose from uncertainty over a friendly deal with Brussels”\na “journey into the unknown”\n\n\n\nSpecial note: Our group meetings are very multinational\, with as many as 8 nationalities at one of our recent meetings. All are all completely unreservedly completely welcome and wanted\, regardless of all the currently silly stupid politics. All are very welcome!
